Zebra Line AutoLISP Macro

We recently worked on AutoLISP macro for converting simple polyline into “zebra” style line. It is simple and useful – select existing polyline, determine linewidth and stripe lengh … and done!

After using PEDIT or grip editing two polylines on both sides of ZEBRA line can be re-generated at any time using same command.

Screenshots below can provide visual idea on how the macro works.

Zebra Line 11 – Simple polyline before ZEBRA conversion

Zebra Line 22 – … and after ZEBRA conversion

Zebra Line 33 – ZEBRA line core modified using grips with boundaries remaining at old positions

Zebra Line 44 – Repeated command re-generates boundaries with changing stripe length and linewidth
