Autodesk Perpetual Licensing Changes
The ways we design and build the world are changing rapidly, which is also changing the tools we use and the ways companies and individuals buy and access software. Autodesk is gradually transitioning new software purchases to subscription options only.
In the first phase of this transition, Autodesk ceased selling new perpetual licenses in Australia and New Zealand on June 7, 2015 for Autodesk AutoCAD LT family products.
New licences of listed AutoCAD LT Family products are now available only through non-perpetual Subscription.
In the second phase of transition Autodesk ceased selling New Perpetual licenses of most individual software (non-LT) products after January 31, 2016.
New Perpetual licenses of most Design & Creation Suites will be sold until July 31, 2016.
Perpetual licences customers with current Maintenance Plan can expect to remain on Maintenance for the forseeable future.
